Our director

Jean Rexine attended Minot State University where she earned a degree in Social Work. She has worked with children in childcare centers, home childcare, and providing home visits to families with young children.

Assistants

In addition, the Open Door utilizes assistants, including parents and other volunteers, in the preschool and summer day camp programs. Tina Mitchell prepares the noon meal. Marilyn Johnson volunteers as librarian, processing and organizing the library and media center. Many other volunteers read to the children and engage them in various activities.

The University of Mary SPURS host holiday parties for the preschool children, and United Methodist mission and youth groups assist at special events, clean-up of the grounds, and other tasks.
